Two Great Events Sponsored by The Jewish Committee on Scouting

The next two great events are 1) the Lag Ba'Omer picnic and bonfire May 26, 5 PM - 7 PM at Wantagh Park and 2) 41 st annual Jewish Boyscouts Awards Breakfast with entertainment by the Israeli Scout Friendship Caravan, Sunday June 19 (Father's Day) 9 AM - 12 PM.


Lag Ba'Omer Bonfire and Family Picnic. Thursday, May 26, 2005, 5 PM - 7 PM Wantagh Park. Free Admission. A Fabulous Bonfire of Jewish camaraderie all children and families in elementary school and their siblings of all ages. Games, Storytelling of Jewish Heroes, and a Jewish Song Fest, and hands on craft program - prepare ink, quills, write on parchment.
Bring Your Own Family Picnic Supper, Camp Chairs & Blankets. Presented by The Jewish Committee on Scouting, Theodore Roosevelt Council, BSA.

41st Annual Jewish Scouts Awards Breakfast, Entertainment by the Israeli Scout Friendship Caravan.

The themes of international friendship and brotherhood explode when the Israeli Scout Friendship Caravan comes to town. The Israeli boys and girls give an enthusiastic show filled with singing, dancing and Israeli education. The 16- and 17-year-olds perform songs in English and in Hebrew. The style of music varied from Fiddler on the Roof to modern tunes. The performers engage the crowd and encourage the children to dance with them on stage.
