*Hebrew School Newsletter*

by Fran Green

Volume 10 Ohav Sholom Hebrew School 145 S. Merrick Avenue Merrick, NY 5/21/06

The last day of Hebrew School is this Wednesday, May 24, 2006!

Just because this is the official last day of classes, we don’t want you to forget the Awards Ceremony and Vov graduation which will take place on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 in the main Sanctuary from 6:30-7:30pm. The awards ceremony is for all grades, including the Sunday School students! We sincerely ask and encourage you all to attend!

This is my final Newsletter for the academic year 2005-2006! I hope everyone had a very educational and enjoyable year! I would like to publicly thank the following families who contributed to the Kiddush for the Hebrew School Shabbat: Bekore, Beris, Cohn, Fessler, Gott, Siegel, Sternbach and Wilkowski. Also, special thanks to all of the families who sponsored the Kiddush for the Alef Induction!

Just a friendly reminder to those who have not yet handed in their registration forms and their deposit for next year to please get them in as soon as possible! If you know of anyone who might be interested in our Hebrew School, please have them contact Les Grusgott through the office for further information.

As you all know, Mr. Jack Rubel is retiring at the end of the year. Today was our send off party for Jack Rubel. Mr. Rubel dedicated nine years to our Hebrew School and we’d once again like to say Todah Rabah. If anyone sees Mr. Rubel, make sure to thank him for his hard work and wish him well in his future endeavors! We are also sad to say goodbye to Morah Malkah Greene. As sad as we are to say goodbye, we are thrilled for her at the same time! Morah Malkah is getting married and making Aliyah to Israel. Mazel Tov and Best Wishes to Morah Malkah! Last but certainly not least, we sadly say goodbye to Morah Tamar Levine, who will be moving to Silver Spring, Maryland. We wish her and her family lots of good luck and happiness!
