Shemini Atzeret/ Simchat Torah

The holidays of Shemini Atzeret/ Simchat Torah will take place next week- Tuesday and Wednesday, October 21 and 22. Simchat Torah (which literally means "rejoicing in the Torah") marks the completion of the cycle of Torah readings. This is a time of great joy in the synagogue. Children will especially enjoy all the singing and dancing at Ohav, and are encouraged to actively participate! Tuesday night's celebration will include candy apples, which are traditionally given to children on Simchat Torah to remind them of the sweetness of the Torah , and the celebrating will continue the following morning. Please see Ohav's schedule at the following link:

We hope that you and your kids will join us!
